Bloom's Taxonomy

before my comment, I'm going to present a very brief definition of Taxonomy.

According to the Cambridge International Dictionary, Taxonomy is a system for naming and organizing things.

Bloom's Taxonomy of educational objectives was published by Bejamin Bloom with his collaborators in 1956. There are six major categories such as knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation in Bloom's Taxonomy,

Knowledge refers to pattern, structure, and setting

Comprehension refers to a type of understanding

Application refers to the use of abstractions

Analysis presents to make clear the ideas.

Synthesis refers to parts that form a whole.

Evaluation refers the values of material and methods for given purposes.

In 2001 Bloom's Taxonomy was revised by a group of cognitive Psychologists. The Taxonomy for learning, teaching, and assessment which can be called as "Educational Objectives"

Indeed Bloom's Taxonomy is a great help to the teachers in planning, designing, and instructing.
